How to Say I Love You Out Loud by Karole Cozzo

Title: How to Say I Love You Out Loud

Author: Karole Cozzo

Ease: Moderate

Rating: 4/5

How to Say I Love You Out Loud is a touching story of Jordyn’s journey to accept herself and her family and to find her voice.

Unfortunately I spent the first chapter rolling my eyes. It all seemed very unoriginal – the teenage girl who’s not quite part of the crowd, the gorgeous boy she wants but who has a girlfriend. But in the second chapter we meet Jordyn’s younger brother Philip who has severe autism, a condition which disrupts all their lives. Suddenly Jordyn and her problems become a lot more interesting, especially when Philip is forced to attend her exclusive school for a few months.

I enjoyed watching Jordyn’s evolution over the book and at times I found myself wiping  away tears. I only wish that Cozzo had started the story one chapter further in.

Happy reading!
