A Good Idea by Cristina Moracho

Title: A Good Idea

Author: Cristina Moracho

Ease: Challenging

Rating: 3/5

Finley is determined to bring her best-friend’s killer to justice. He’s admitted to the crime, now she just need to get the town to believe him and arrest him. If it weren’t for his father’s influence and his victim’s bad reputation, maybe they would.

A Good Idea is proof that you don’t need to have a single likable character to write an entertaining novel. Finley is obnoxious and arrogant, her friend-with-benefits is a drug dealer and constantly bemoans his lot in life, her girl-friend is a liar and all the adults are inept and disinterested.

At times, I actually rooted for the murderer.

The book did have an interesting premise and was interesting enough to have me reading until the end, and it was refreshing that the relationship between Finley and Serena was treated like any other, but if you got a choice between A Good Idea and something else, go with the other book.
